Oplen creates ambient psychedelia beats and electronic music, originating from Stockholm Söderort, Norrbotten, and Småland since 2001. The project focuses on making music using electronic equipment and effects outside the computer, recording and mixing the final result digitally. Oplen strives for a unique, idiosyncratic sound by crafting original samples. The music is influenced by techno, industrial, shoegaze, post-rock, and 70s psychedelia.

Oplen is Henrik Sunbring, who is also a member and producer of bands such as Kalamare Beat Club and Agent Side Grinder. Both on stage and in the studio, Oplen occasionally collaborates with bands like Blackstrap, Existensminimum, Marching Band, and Principe Valiente.
