Christian Quast
Country: Germany
Christian Quast discovered electronic music at the young age of thirteen, making it a key priority in his life. He began experimenting with music software on the Commodore C-64 and later on the Amiga 500. His passion for techno grew during long nights in Hamburg clubs, especially the UNIT, which inspired him to establish his own music studio in 1991.
Christian’s style is a blend of experimental and modern sounds, successfully combining hard beats with melodic elements, appealing to a wide range of listeners, even those with sensitive ears. His early live performances began in 1995 with the projects Aural Seduction and Propan. During this time, he also hosted the radio show "Future Sound of Hamburg Music Works" (1992-1997), promoting young electronic music and featuring prominent guests like Azzido da Bass, Tobias Lampe, Stefan Brügesch, and Boris Dlugosch.
After a brief pause in his music career due to professional commitments, Christian resumed his solo music projects in 2001, delivering energetic live acts and releasing music that defied mainstream trends. He has participated in numerous collaborations and projects, including Praefutura, Open Source, Yatsuo Motoki feat. Paul Sanchez Jun., and others. His ventures also include founding “futureaudio.de” in 2006 and launching record labels such as “Salto-Recordings” and [modulator-recordings].
